Adi Snir
Soprano and Tenor Sax, Clarinet

Born in 1987. At age 4.5 started his piano studies. At age 8 played the violin for 2 years, while studying guitar and recorder. During his stay in the U.S. at age 13 discovered the saxophone and studied with Joe Halajian. Upon his return to Israel studied 4 years in the Carmiel Consevatory with Albert Beger (3 years) and Dror Bar Israel (1 year), while experimenting with various woodwinds and the piano. During these years participated in workshops and master-classes at Matan summer school and took part in the Shai Cohen Jazz Orchestra.
At age 17 won a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts.
Finished his music studies with honors in the Misgav High School.
After finishing high school, studied 1 year in the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Ramat Hasharon, Israel.


Has played and performed with: Damon Smith (USA), Birgit Ulher (Germany), John Butcher (UK), Eddie Prevost (UK), Ariel Shibolet, Yoni Silver, Shmil Frenkel, Harold Rubin, Michel Mayer, Roni Brenner, Ofer Bymel.


Has recorded with: Damon Smith (USA), Birgit Ulher (Germany), Ariel Shibolet, Ofer Bymel, Roni Brenner, Michel Mayer.
Adi is an active artist who has widely performed in the fields of Jazz, Free-Jazz and Improvised Music, and is currently a member of the Improvised Music group 'Tanaka'.
